Half Yours wins the 2025 Melbourne Cup

The 2025 Melbourne Cup has been won by Half Yours in an exciting finish.
Half Yours was ridden by Jamie Melham who become the second ever female winning jockey. (Michelle Payne was the first ten years ago when she won in 2015 aboard Prince of Penzance)
The 5-year-old gelding beat home Goodie Two Shoes and Middle Earth.
Half Yours is trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy and the Australian trained winner has been one of the favoured horses, especially since winning the Caulfield Cup in mid-October.
2025 Melbourne Cup won by Half Yours
Half Yours is the third horse since the turn of the millennium to complete the Caulfield Cup-Melbourne Cup double. The other two were Ethereal (2001) and Without A Fight (2023)
The win earns the connections $4.5 million AUD in prizemoney.
