Chased a promising pup home when second in a fast 520m on Friday. First time here but ability should see her through. 5 High Anxiety won a sprint on Friday so gets a free hit today & she has been solid down the straight. 1 That's Contact led throughout in a qualifying trial at Manawatu. Is from the first litter out of a super chaser that won 35 races.

Got the start right at Hatrick & blistered to a big win over 520m. First time here but should have too much class to cough up a bonus maiden win.

Has been dominating these special condition races lately & there's no reason to suggest she won't win again.

9 Thrilling Gordon
Wasn't far away after being bumped mid-race here last week. Downgrades into an open field. Each way value on opening.

Normal service resumed last week with a comfortable win but it's worth noting that 1 Big Time Ashton who beat him the week before was absent & 3 Big Time Martin ran only one length slower winning a c4 on the same card.

Nosed out on the line eight days ago beating today's favourite home so his ods are tempting. 10 Big Time Clarke is yet to win here but he has run some useful placings & he was very unlucky on Friday. Bolter.

Well beaten second last time but it was in a swift time for the day so his time measures up to c3 winner 3 Hey Driver who is up to this class. 5 Big Time Slim was only narrowly beaten by Nico when third so he might be over the odds on opening.

Has had excuses in two recent races at Manawatu in red-hot fields. Ran a maiden record in his only start here. As close to a racecourse certainty as there's ever been.

4 Diamond Frankie
Big win over a soft field in this class last Monday then was even more impressive at Cambridge. Expecting him to be even better here today while noting that 5 Cliff Top Trixie ran faster than Frankie last week.

6 Connie's Comet
Was checked at the top of the straight when fourth at Manawatu. Fourth in her last attempt here three starts back is solid form for this. 7 She Who Can led for a fair way here on September 29. Won't get a better chance to secure a second career win. 3 Swift Shadow ran a race of two halves last week but prepared to forgive her & include in this line-up.
